Dr Kheng-Heng Ng
BSc(Med), MBBS(UNSW), FANZCA
Dr Ng is a fully qualified Australian trained medical specialist in the field of Anaesthesia. He has appointments at Sydney Adventist, North Shore Private, Macquarie University and Norwest Private Hospitals, and Royal North Shore and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Public Hospitals. Dr Ng was awarded Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2010, after working as a resident doctor at Westmead Hospital and then undertaking specialist training in Anaesthesia at Concord and Royal North Shore Hospitals. His professional interests include anaesthesia for colorectal, hand and major orthopaedic, urological, plastic, head and neck surgery, and gastrointestinal endoscopy. Dr Ng maintains up-to-date Continuing Medical Education through the ANZCA CPD Program. He is an outstanding communicator who genuinely cares for his patients.
Dr Rosa Hou
BSc(Med), MBBS, FANZCA, FFPMANZCA
Dr Rosa Hou is an Anaesthetic and Pain Specialist. She graduated from medicine from the University of New South Wales in 2004. She spent several years as a junior doctor at St George Hospital before undergoing 5 years of post-graduate training to qualify as a Specialist Anaesthetist. She then took further training in pain medicine to become a Pain Medicine Specialist.
Dr Hou works in both public and private hospitals throughout Sydney as an anaesthetist and pain specialist. She has a wide scope of practice for anaesthesia, including orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, gastrointestinal surgery, obstetric and gynaecology, pain medicine and urology. Dr Hou is passionate about peri-operative pain management, and prevention and treatment of chronic post surgical pain.
Dr Luke Morphett
BMedSci (Hons), BMedicine, GradDipGenCouns, FRACGP
Dr Luke Morphett is a specialist General Practitioner who shares his time between MQ Health General Practice and surgical assisting for Associate Professor Raniga. Dr Morphett enjoys the theatre environment, particularly the teamwork required to achieve optimal outcomes in complex surgeries.
Dr Morphett is extremely professional and genuinely caring individual who is dedicated to doing his very best to improve patient outcomes in the operating theatre. He is an integral member of our surgical team. He feels lucky to have the opportunity to support general practice patients from referral through to surgery. Outside of work Dr Morphett he enjoys keeping fit and spending time with his young family.
Dr Antonio Arenas

Dr Antonio Arenas-Miquelez, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon who completed his medical degree and orthopaedic surgery residency program in his hometown Pamplona, Spain. After finishing his residency program he completed the prestigious EBOT exam and was awarded Fellowship of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT). After completing his residency he built particular interest in shoulder and elbow surgery. He is on the verge of completing four years of dedicated clinical and research fellowship in centres of excellence of shoulder and elbow surgery and sports medicine.
Dr Arenas was mentored by Prof. Matthias Zumstein for one-year fellowship in shoulder, elbow and sports medicine at Bern University Hospital, Bern, Switzerland. He then spent six months working with the preeminent shoulder surgeon Prof. Ralph Hertel at Lindenhof Hospital also in Bern. Following this, he met Associate Professor Sumit Raniga and was inspired to move to Sydney to continue his shoulder and elbow training at Macquarie University Hospital. He is currently a key member of the MQ Health Translational Shoulder Research Program, led by Associate Professor Raniga. He has an important role in numerous research projects related to shoulder biomechanics, as well as in the development of the most advanced cadaveric shoulder simulator in the world. He is a key member of our surgical team.
Dr Jasan Dannaway

Dr Jasan Dannaway is an orthopaedic surgeon who completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney and orthopaedic training through the NSW training network. Prior to commencing his medical studies, he practiced as a physiotherapist in a variety of settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and sporting events. Along with his clinical interests, he has advanced his teaching and research capabilities through the completion of master’s degrees in these fields. He is currently pursuing dedicated local and international fellowships in shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand surgery in order to further his expertise.
