Associate Professor Sumit Raniga and his Translational Shoulder Research Lab had six original scientific papers accepted for presentation at the 2022 Biennial Conference of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia.
Their presentations included original scientific investigations into gaining greater understanding of the unstable shoulder, shoulder arthritis and shoulder biomechanics, including a 20 minute presentation on the evolution of an extremely sophisticated cadaveric shoulder simulator. Associate Professor Raniga was presented with the best scientific paper award for a study that examined the role of shoulder muscle imbalance in the development of shoulder arthritis.
